This past Saturday, March 31, Delta Omicron, Delta Nu held another successful Arts Festival! This year, we brought in musical and art talents from the greater Austin area. We were privileged to welcome James Ramsey from Fore in Lakeway to our campus for a cooking demonstration, as well as the University of Texas' a Capella group One Note Stand for a wonderful performance. We also featured an Art Gallery of works by Southwestern University students as well as a silent auction of items from well known places around Georgetown. We were able to raise about 300 dollars from our silent auction whose proceeds went towards The Mr. Holland Opus Foundation. We thank all of the performers and the SU Organizations that participated and provided fun activities throughout the day for children. Congratulations to the Arts Festival Director Rachel LeBlanc Mehl, our Arts Festival Chair Anne Fenley, our Arts Festival Committee members Katie De La Vega and Ellen Hoyer for their personal commitment, and to the members of Delta Omicron Delta Nu for a job well done.
